OK, so I've wanted to read this one for a while, but I just couldn't make myself delve into the 751 pages. But I finally bit the bullet and read the most current installment of the ACOTAR series. I've disliked Nesta since book 1, but I was very intrigued to read her story and see what direction her character would be taken.
Nesta is a complex character, and I loved seeing everything from her POV. All the hateful and awful things she said to everyone made me uneasy about her, but as I explored her pain with her and explored her healing, she started to really grow on me. Her relationship with Cassian was entertaining and SPICY! 🌶x5! The heart of the book, for me, though, was her friendships with Emerie and Gwyn. The night they had a "read-in" was truly one of the most heartwarming scenes in the whole book!
Overall, I absolutely loved Nesta's story. Nothing will ever compare to A Court of Mist and Fury, but this may be a very close second for me.
Now, I'm all caught up, and I can join the many readers who are impatiently waiting for Book 6.
