This book has my heart. After seeing many of my fellow Bookstagrammers singing its praises, I had to add it to my March Book of the Month box. In just a few days, I got to know Lenny, Miles, Ainsley and Reese. There's a ton of charm, warmth, and love. The overall arcing theme of the book is about grief and how you overcome that to be a version of yourself without the person you lost. Grief has touched my life greatly. I lost my mother in 2016, and there are still days when I miss her so badly it aches.

Miles is described as grumpy, but he shows Lenny so much love and comfort when he barely knew her. Like recognizes like, and having Miles be Lenny's grief guide was a unique approach to a love story that I have not seen. Lenny's grief was heartbreaking, further proving that everyone handles grief in vastly different ways. My grief was different, but there is no wrong way to grieve a loved one. The romance was a very slow burn, and I can appreciate it with the right ingredients. In this case, it felt perfectly right for the characters and their story. There's a small level of spice, briefly towards the end. I really liked it a lot, and I definitely am sliding Ready or Not (a backlist title by this author) to the top of my TBR list.
