⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Midnight Feast was my first ever Lucy Foley novel. I have always been a sucker for a good mystery, and I picked this up last year in Costco's book section (R.I.P.). I have been in a bit of a reading slump, so it took me almost a week to start this after I picked it up. I flew through it in a handful of days. I enjoyed the pacing, and I love a good twisty thriller. Of course, thrillers can be fairly predictable if you've read a lot of them, but I didn't feel this one was predictable. The writing felt very atmospheric, which I don't often see in thrillers. I know LF has some back titles that I will definitely be adding to the list soon!

Francesca is the absolute worst, and the author did a great job of really making you feel hatred towards her. The split perspective can sometimes irritate me if there are too many perspectives and too many people to keep track of, but it was executed perfectly, and I feel that it is the only way the story could have been told properly.

I may never look at crows the same after reading this book.
